I came across the book “Agile IT organization design” by Sriram Narayan and I used some sketchnotes to make a personal documenation of the book.

Some takeaways

• Prefer value over predictability!
• Prefer adaptability over cost efficiency!
• Software development is a design process and therefore hard to predict
• A functional organization comes with a high rate of handovers
• Create stable product teams instead of temporary project teams
• Do not focus on separation of execution and planning, instead create cross functional teams that are autonomous and accountable for business results
